What are Speaking Languages and Target Languages in Conference?

In EventCAT Conference, when setting up real-time translated subtitles, you select two types of languages:

Speaking Language and Target Language.

Speaking Language

This is the language actually spoken by the presenter or meeting participants.
EventCAT recognizes these languages in real time and translates them into the languages shown as subtitles (Target Languages).
For optimal translation quality and speed, we recommend selecting no more than five languages at the same time. Choosing more than five languages simultaneously may impact translation performance or response speed.

Target Language

These are the languages in which the real-time translated subtitles will be displayed.
Audience members accessing the real-time subtitle page via QR code, preview page, or URL can choose their preferred language to view the subtitles.
You can provide subtitles in up to 50 different languages, and the price is the same regardless of how many languages are selected.

Choose the Speaking Languages based on the languages the presenters will use. Then select the Target Languages required by the audience.

For example, when presenters speak English and Korean, and the audience needs English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Vietnamese subtitles:

Speaking Languages: English and Korean
Target Languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Vietnamese

Selecting the correct languages before the session helps EventCAT provide faster, clearer, and more accurate real-time translations.

If Speaker A presents in English and Speaker B in Korean, and the audience includes users who speak English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Vietnamese:

→ Speaking Language: English, Korean

→ Target Language: English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Vietnamese

Audience members can choose which Target Language they want to see subtitles in.
