As mentioned in our blog post, we are excited to inform you that the MediaCAT subtitle editor now offers a powerful new feature: ‘Revise with AI’, or RWA. This innovative tool learns from your edits and suggests better translations for subsequent sentences.
Activating 'Revise with AI' on the Lab Features Page
To take advantage of RWA, navigate to the Lab Features page and enable it. We will continue to roll out exciting experimental features via the Lab in the future.
Supported Languages
Upon activation, you will notice a robot icon on the global header of the subtitle editor. If you don't see the icon, it may be due to the language pair you have selected being currently unsupported by RWA.
For information on supported languages, please refer to the list below. We aim to support more languages in the future:
English - Arabic
English - Latin-American Spanish
English - Castilian Spanish
English - French
English - German
English - Korean
English - Brazilian Portuguese
English - Portuguese
Korean - English
Simplified Chinese - Korean
Traditional Chinese - Korean
Utilizing ‘Revise with AI’
In the subtitle editor, simply click on the robot icon in the top right corner of the subtitle box you want to revise. You may also use a keyboard shortcut (“CTRL+.” for Windows and “CMD+.” for Mac) to engage the RWA feature.
If previous subtitles have been edited, the RWA could potentially suggest even better translations based on previous edits. If you’re satisfied with the suggestion, use a keyboard shortcut (“CTRL+Enter” for Windows and “CMD+Enter” for Mac) to accept it, and it will instantly replace the current subtitle content.
To continue receiving suggestions, hit the aforementioned shortcut again. Your cursor will automatically advance to the next subtitle segment, prompting RWA to offer its revised suggestion.
We're committed to delivering intelligent solutions like RWA to optimize your editing process. Start your journey with AI-powered translation revision today!
