Why this guide?
This guide walks you through using EventCAT with Zoom Webinars. Learn how to set up your webinar, invite the AI Interpreter, and view live translations, so you can manage your webinar efficiently and provide a seamless experience for attendees.
1. Sign in to zoom.us, and visit Webinar: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/list#/upcoming
2. Click Schedule a Webinar
3. Configure Your Webinar Details
When setting up your webinar, double-check the following settings:
Turn off Registration and Authentication – the EventCAT bot won’t be able to join if these are active.
Enable Automatic Recording – required for the EventCAT bot to connect and operate properly.
These adjustments make sure the EventCAT bot can join smoothly and deliver real-time translations during your webinar.
Note: These options are selected by default in Zoom, but it’s still important to double-check them:
4. Start Your Webinar
Click “Start this Webinar” and copy the link provided. You’ll use this link to join the webinar and allow EventCAT to connect for real-time translations.
5. Access EventCAT
Go to EventCAT OnlineMeeting and sign in. Then navigate to:
https://app.eventcat.com/dashboard/meetings/wizard. This is where you’ll set up your webinar session for live translations.
Once there, click “Invite AI Interpreter” and select the Translation Model

Enter Your Meeting Information
Paste the Zoom webinar link you copied in the previous step into the meeting details on EventCAT. This ensures EventCAT can join your webinar for live translations.
6. Confirm and Launch the Bot
After selecting your glossaries and reviewing the meeting details, click Invite AI Interpreter. The EventCAT bot will join the webinar as an attendee within a few seconds. Open the Participants panel to see the bot, then have the meeting host promote it to a panelist so it can provide live translations during the session.
7. Bot Joins as Panelist
Within a few seconds, the EventCAT bot will appear in your webinar as a panelist and prompt you to allow recording. Make sure to confirm so the bot can deliver real-time translations.
8. Start Interpreting
Note: In Zoom Webinars, the subtitle page link is not automatically pinned in the chat. This means that if participants join after the AI Interpreter, they may not see the link unless someone shares it again.
That’s it! The EventCAT bot is now active and will provide real-time interpretation for all participants’ voices during your webinar.
