This guide explains how to use one EventCAT Conference pass to display subtitles in different languages on multiple venue screens at the same time.

How to Set Subtitle Languages per Screen

Use one EventCAT pass to display subtitles in different languages on multiple venue screens at the same time.

Overview
EventCAT Conference supports multilingual audiences without requiring additional passes.  Each screen can independently choose a subtitle language, making onsite event operation simple and scalable.

How to Set It Up
Follow these steps on the EventCAT Controller page:

  1. Create a Session and start Live Translation.

  2. On each screen device, open the subtitle page using the QR code or Display Link.

  3. Select the preferred subtitle language from the Language Menu on each screen.

  4. Monitor all connected screens and translation status on the Controller page.

How Each Screen Connects
Screens can access subtitles using:

  • QR code

  • Display Link from the Controller page

  • Direct URL copy and share (for staff use)

  • Supported screen types: Smart TV, projector browser, PC, tablet, etc.

Network Recommendations
 For the best performance:

  • Use wired LAN or stable Wi-Fi

  • Keep browsers updated

  • Check available bandwidth when many screens are connected

 Notes

  • No limit on the number of connected screens

  • Each screen can freely switch subtitle languages

  • Multiple screens can share the same language

  • Session settings can be modified anytime from the Controller page

Pro Tips

  • Assign languages per screen in advance for smooth event operation

  • Use the same network for minimized delay between screen

  • Subtitles remain in the selected language even if the speaker changes languages
