1. Sign in for your account.

New users will need to sign up with an email and a password.

2. Start your OnlineMeeting

  • Select your Translation Model: Swift or Wise

Note: Please check our FAQ to know more about our Translation Models.

  • Paste your Zoom URL.

  • Select the languages you will speak and want to translate.

  • [Optional] Select categories that best fit your conversation topic for improved translations with Glossaries.

  • Click the ‘Invite AI Interpreter’.

Wait until joining the EventCAT bot to your meeting.

  • Make sure to stay on this interpretation screen to see real-time translated captions.

3. Admit an AI interpreter.

Allow joining your AI Interpreter when the popup appears on the right side at the bottom.

[Attention]

- Note. You must allow all two pop-ups in ZOOM meetings - 'Admit', 'Allow Recording', for Eventcat to work. If you don't allow at least one of them, Eventcat will not be able to interpret. Don't forget to allow them ALL!

When your meeting starts, it is automatically recorded and shows translated captions in real-time.

  • Note. Participants in the seminar will need to click on the link shared in "chat" at the bottom of the Zoom to view the translation screen.

4. Here’s a quick overview of the main features you’ll find:

  1. Choose Your Layout
    Select between two display modes:

    • Classic layout: clean and simple view

    • New layout: enhanced, modern subtitle experience

  2. Quick Tour
Get a quick walkthrough of how EventCat works so you can get started in seconds.

  3. See Participants
View a list of attendees currently connected to the translation page.

Identify participants' locations based on their IP addresses.

  1. Enable Bot Exit
Use this option to allow the EventCat bot to leave the meeting automatically if needed.

  2. Contact Us
Having any issues during your meeting? Don’t hesitate to reach out, we're here to help.

  3. Settings Panel

    • Toggle dark mode / light mode

    • Adjust transcription display options

    • Change font size for better readability

  4. Select Language
Choose the language in which you want to read your meeting’s subtitles.

  5. Download, Share, or Copy Transcript
Easily download, share, or copy your meeting transcript for reference or documentation.

  • Note: All participants/audience should select their preferred language for their respective screens.

Alternative Setup: Calendar Bot

Instead of pasting your Zoom link into the dashboard, you can simply invite bot@eventcat.com to your meeting via Google Calendar or Outlook.

The EventCAT Bot will automatically join and provide real-time translated subtitles — no manual setup required. A link to the subtitle page will also be shared in your Zoom chat.

See the full Calendar Bot guide

5. Download your transcript.

After the meeting, select your preferred language for the transcript and proceed to download. (Multiple languages allowed)

  • Note: Your meeting scripts and recording data are stored based on the retention settings you selected in Dashboard > OnlineMeeting > Settings. Depending on your preferences, the data may be deleted immediately, stored for 7 days, or kept permanently. Please check your data retention policy at the link below to ensure your information is secure. https://app.eventcat.com/dashboard/meetings/settings
