Overview
XL8 MediaCAT and EventCAT supports Okta single sign-on. To connect your Okta organization to our platform, the following steps are required.
- Create a custom application in your Okta administration dashboard.
- Share the app information with XL8: Okta domain, app client ID and secret, and email domain.
Create a custom app in Okta
Your Okta organization administrator needs to create a custom app from the admin dashboard.
From the Okta admin dashboard menu, open “Applications > Applications”, and click “Create App Integration” button.
Select “OIDC - OpenID Connect” as sign-in method and “Web Application” as application type.
Fill out the app integration form:
- Name the app and optionally upload a logo. This will be visible during the sign-in process.
- For MediaCAT:
- Set the redirect URI:
https://mediacat.xl8.ai/login/organization/{org_email_domain}
- Set the sign-out redirect URI:
https://mediacat.xl8.ai/
- Set the redirect URI:
- For EventCAT:
- Set the redirect URI:
https://www.eventcat.com/login/sso/{org_email_domain}
- Set the sign-out redirect URI:
https://www.eventcat.com/login
- Set the redirect URI:
The {org_email_domain} should be the same as the MediaCAT account your organization members will use.
For example, since my MediaCAT account is "dev@xl8.ai", my organization's email domain is "xl8.ai". Then
the form would be like this:
Configure Assignments section to control who will have access to XL8, and click Save to create the application.
Share the app information
Once the application is set up, contact us via support@xl8.ai or our support system. We will ask you to share the following information securely.
- Your Okta domain. (e.g.
example.okta.com)
- App Client ID
- App Client Secret
- Your organization’s email domain
