MediaCAT has been upgraded with new project management tools to enhance your control over media localization projects. The latest updates introduce refined methods for updating project and assignment statuses, an improved notification system that alerts stakeholders about the current status of assignments, and a comprehensive project activity history for better tracking and insights. These enhancements are designed to streamline workflows and improve communication among team members, ensuring that everyone is aligned and updated on the project's progress.
Assignment Status & Email Notifications
MediaCAT now features an updated user interface that enhances the tracking of assignees' status throughout project workflows. Once a project is assigned, the status is set to ‘Assigned’ and will automatically shift to ‘In Progress’ when the assignee begins their work in the editor. This allows stakeholders to easily see who is actively working on specific tasks.
When the editor session has been submitted, assignees have the option to mark the project as complete, which sends an immediate email notification to the project creator and any administrators involved. Once an assignee completes their assigned task, they will lose access to the editor session unless the project creator or an administrator reassigns them.
Project Status Control
Once all assignees have completed their tasks, project creators and administrators have the ability to officially mark the project as complete. Projects are classified into two straightforward statuses: 'Incomplete' and 'Complete'.
Additionally, users can utilize the filtering function in the project list to easily monitor the progress of various projects. This feature aids in maintaining a clear overview of ongoing and completed projects, enhancing project management efficiency.
Improved Project Activity History
Lastly, we have enhanced the project details section to provide more accurate and comprehensive project activity histories with this update. This improvement allows users to effortlessly track the creation of each project version, including detailed information on who created each version. This level of detail is essential for managing projects efficiently, ensuring transparency and accountability within project workflows.
