MediaCAT Editor now offers a streamlined way to provide feedback directly within the editing environment. While working on subtitles, you can click the flag icon at the top right corner of a segment to submit feedback. Feedback can either be sent to the XL8 engineering team for AI performance improvements or shared with previous editors to support future project quality. In addition, the feedback can then be shared through "View Only Mode" that allows other users to navigate the current and previous editing session and review provided feedback without the ability to modify any content.
1. Submit Feedback:
Inside the editor, click the flag icon at the top right corner of a subtitle segment to start providing feedback.
2. Select Feedback Type and Add Details:
Choose the appropriate feedback type and describe the reason for the feedback. You can also opt to send the feedback to the XL8 team by checking the corresponding box. This will notify the team for potential AI performance improvements review.
3. Share Feedback via View Only Mode:
After submitting feedback, you can share it with others by copying the View Only Mode URL. Click the copy URL icon next to the "Enter View Only Mode" button in the MediaCAT preview. To share the view only mode for the previous versions, enter the Subtitle History and find the right version to share with others.
4. Navigating Feedback in View Only Mode:
When a user accesses the shared URL, they can navigate through all provided feedback using the "Navigate Feedback" feature. They can also click on each flagged segment to view detailed feedback, including a diff view highlighting the specific corrections made.
