We've improved speaker management in subtitles, making it easier to add, switch, and organize speakers. You can now assign keyboard shortcuts to quickly add new speakers while editing, streamlining the workflow. Additionally, subtitles from different speakers can be merged into a single speaker with ease, allowing for better control over dialogue formatting.
First, to set the shortcut for ‘Add Speaker’ function, you can do so by accessing the ‘Shortcuts’ menu from the ‘Settings’ page.
Once the shortcut is set, you can use it to add or change the speaker of the current line you are editing in the subtitle segment.
To merge multiple speakers into a single speaker, open the ‘Update Speakers’ modal under ‘Subtitle’ in the main menu.
Then, press the ‘Merge Speakers’ button to begin the merging process. You will first be prompted to select the speaker into which you want to merge other speakers. In the screenshot below, I am merging other speakers into SPK0.
