EventCAT supports online meeting participants by allowing them to view real-time translated subtitles through a separate subtitle page link. The way the link is accessed may vary slightly depending on the video conferencing platform being used.
Subtitle Page Link Sharing by Platform
In Zoom Webinars
- The subtitle link is not automatically pinned in the chat. Therefore, if some webinar participants join after the EventCAT AI interpreter has already entered the session, they may miss the real-time subtitle access link.
→ In this case, please share the real-time subtitle access link again with the participants in the meeting room.
In Zoom (Regular Meetings), Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams
- The subtitle page link is automatically shared in the chat. Participants who join later can still access the subtitle page without any issues.
How to Make Sure All Participants Can See the Subtitle Link
Hosts, presenters, or participants with permission to send chat messages should do the following:
- After the EventCAT AI interpreter enters the webinar or online meeting room, please manually share the real-time subtitle access link in the chat once again.
- For Zoom Webinars, sharing the link again ensures that participants who joined after the EventCAT AI interpreter do not miss the subtitle access link. This allows everyone to participate smoothly while viewing real-time translated subtitles.
Tip
At the beginning of the webinar or online meeting, when the EventCAT real-time subtitle link is automatically shared in the chat, the host, moderator, or an early participant should copy the link. Each time a new participant joins, paste the link again or pin it in the chat (if you have host permissions) so all participants can access the real-time subtitle page immediately.
