Which URLs should I allow to use EventCAT Conference on a company or institutional network?

Companies, schools, public institutions, and event venues may restrict access to external services. If your network only allows approved websites and services, share the list below with your IT or security team and request access before your event.

Even if your internet connection is fast and the EventCAT website opens normally, blocked connections may prevent features such as live caption generation, transcript saving, or settings updates from working correctly.

Basic network allowlist

The following addresses support EventCAT Conference’s core features and font display. All connections use outbound Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) port 443.

URL to allowPurpose
https://app.eventcat.com/*Accessing EventCAT, managing sessions, saving settings, and delivering captions
wss://e2e.xl8.ai/streamSending audio and receiving live transcription and translation results
https://cmdhxpwmlalsaqwxippw.supabase.co/*Saving transcripts, maintaining sign-in sessions, and uploading or loading logos and fonts
https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/*Loading the default font
https://fonts.googleapis.com/*Loading multilingual and selected font stylesheets
https://fonts.gstatic.com/*Loading font files

The * means all paths under that address. Please also allow query parameters appended to the URLs.

The wss:// address uses a secure WebSocket connection, which keeps a connection open to exchange audio and captions in real time. It must be allowed alongside regular https:// connections.

Additional addresses for specific features

Depending on the features you use, you may also need to allow the following addresses.

FeatureAdditional URL to allow
Joining through a shortened link, including links in QR codeshttps://eventc.at/*
Uploading presentation materials to generate a glossaryhttps://s3.amazonaws.com/public.upload.xl8

Voice interpretation, Google sign-in, company Single Sign-On (SSO), and customer support chat may require additional addresses. When sharing this allowlist, also tell your IT or security team which features you plan to use.

If you need additional addresses for your setup, please contact EventCAT Support.

What your IT or security team should check

  • Allow requests used to save transcripts and settings or upload files, as well as requests that load web pages.
  • Ensure WebSocket connections can remain open throughout the event and exchange audio and caption data in both directions.
  • Ensure security devices do not delay or interrupt caption data streamed over HTTPS.
  • If the host’s network and the participants’ Wi-Fi are separate, check the features used on each network.

Test at the venue before your event

Use the devices and network connections you will use during the actual event.

  1. Test audio and live captions. Sign in to EventCAT on the host laptop and use rehearsal mode to check that speech from the microphone appears as captions.
  2. Test the audience view. Open the caption page on the venue display and a participant’s device to confirm that translated captions are delivered correctly.
  3. Test saving and other planned features. Change and save the caption display settings, then reopen the page to confirm they are retained. Separately check transcript saving and downloading if you plan to use those features.

Please keep in mind

Displaying captions and saving transcripts use separate connections. Seeing captions on screen does not confirm that every connection is working. Please check saving and settings updates as well.

If problems continue after the addresses have been allowed, record when the issue occurred, the feature you were using, and any error message or screenshot. Share these details with your IT or security team and EventCAT Support.
