How to Set Up EventCAT with Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams After Buying a Plan

Problem summary & description

After purchasing an EventCAT OnlineMeeting plan, some users run into issues such as:

  • Not seeing their purchased plan in their account

  • Logging in with a different email than the one used at checkout

  • Trouble setting up a meeting with translation and subtitle features

Why this happens

  • EventCAT plans are tied to the email used at checkout. If you log in with another email, your plan won’t appear.

  • Some users miss the setup steps needed to activate subtitle and transcription features.

Solution: How to fix it

Method 1: Make sure you’re using the right email

  1. Log in at www.eventcat.com using the same email used for purchase.

  2. Go to “My Profile” or “Credits & Passes” from your account dashboard.

  3. Confirm that your purchased plan is listed.

  4. Click your plan to view activation details and instructions.

Option 1: Schedule from EventCAT Dashboard (for Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams)

  1. Log in at www.eventcat.com

  2. Click Start a Meeting or Schedule a Meeting

  3. Paste your video meeting URL

  4. Set the speaking and target languages

  5. Add glossaries for better accuracy

  6. Follow the prompts to enable multilingual subtitles and real-time translation

Option 2: Invite the AI Bot via Google or Microsoft Calendar (for Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams)

  1. When scheduling your meeting in Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, add bot@eventcat.com as a participant

  2. The EventCAT AI bot will automatically join the meeting’s waiting room

  3. Once the meeting begins, admit the bot and wait a few seconds

  4. A translation page link will be automatically shared in the chat with all participants

Option 3: Use the EventCAT Chrome Extension (for google Meet)

  1. Download the EventCAT Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store : https://chromewebstore.google.com/

  2. Start your Google Meet meeting

  3. Click the EventCAT Chrome Extension icon in your browser

  4. The bot will be invited instantly — no need to visit the EventCAT website

  5. The translation page link will be shared in the chat once the bot is admitted

* Important: When using Option 2 or Option 3, you must set the translation bot’s language and glossary in advance. (Go to: OnlineMeeting > Settings > Individual, and configure the source/target languages and glossary before your meeting starts.)

Proactive Tips

  • Always log in using the email you used to buy your plan. If you still don’t see your plan, double-check the email address used during checkout.

  • Access the EventCAT OnlineMeeting Manual on our help desk for step-by-step help.

  • Check your inbox (and spam folder) for your purchase confirmation and activation link.
