Smarter data controls, wider language options, and stronger security for online meetings
This February, EventCAT OnlineMeeting gets even better with features focused on privacy, language flexibility, and compatibility with secure Zoom settings. Whether you’re hosting a small team check-in or a global webinar, these updates give you more control and confidence with every session.
Let’s take a look at what’s new.
➤ Control Your Meeting Data with One Click
Instant data deletion or transcript storage — it’s up to you
With EventCAT OnlineMeeting, global collaboration is now easier, faster, and more secure than ever. We’re introducing new privacy controls in EventCAT OnlineMeeting, giving you greater flexibility in managing your meeting data.
When you invite an AI interpreter, a confirmation pop-up will appear:
"Do you confirm that your data will be deleted immediately after the meeting?"
[ ] Don’t show this message again
If you select "Delete right after the meeting", your meeting transcript will be permanently deleted once the session ends and won’t be available for download.
Prefer to keep a record? You can store transcripts for later by adjusting this option when creating your meeting invitation.
This new feature gives you full control over your data, helping you meet your team’s privacy or compliance needs with ease.

➤ More Language Options for Multilingual Subtitles
Separate speaking and subtitle languages, now with 40+ supported
Hosts can now select different languages for spoken content and subtitle output. This gives you the flexibility to offer translations tailored to your audience across more than 40 languages.
Keep in mind: Selecting more than three target languages may slightly affect real-time translation speed. For large events, we recommend testing during rehearsal.

➤ Zoom Compatibility Just Got Smarter
Now works with 'Authentication Required' Zoom meetings
Need more security? No problem. The EventCAT Interpreter Bot now supports Zoom meetings that require participants to sign in to their Zoom accounts.
To use this feature:
Go to your Zoom Settings
In the Security section, enable "Only authenticated users can join"
Save your settings
This helps ensure that only authorized users and interpreters can join your sessions, perfect for private or sensitive meetings.
